Island Originals is a leader in premium beverage mixes which can be found Nationwide through much of the restaurant and foodservice industry.
As senior graphic designer, one of my responsibilities included maintaining brand consistency through various print & digital media.
Marketing Collateral
Responsibilities
Working closely with the marketing department to design and produce print collateral communicating new recipes, products or promotions available for sales staff, Nationwide. The exciting versatility of the product often brought about challenges such as incorporating a lot of dense information into visually effective marketing collateral.

RECIPE SHEETS
Delicious drink recipes were created for every season by the sales & marketing team.
My challenge was to condense compact information into a visually pleasing layout while maintaining brand consistency.

Point of Sale

GENERAL POS
Stock Point-of-Sale print products like posters, table tents, menus and banners were created to support a variety of drink promotions. The objective was to create visuals that maintained brand consistency.

CUSTOM POS

Drink recipes were pitched to restaurant owners by the marketing and sales team.
This collaboration produced custom drink concepts which required custom marketing design collateral.
In this example,
The Rainforest Cafe rolled out 4 new drink promotions.
My responsibilities included:
• Photographing and editing each drink image
• Designing a printed insert that reflects the clients brand and specs outlined in brief
• Print; set up files for press

Package Design & Retail Display
Island Originals launched their retail line of shelf-stable drink mixes. The new project required lots of promotional material and advertising as well as designing packaging for the three new flavours. A retail display was also designed to be set up in Supermarkets across North America.

This display was designed to hold Island Originals' Shelf-stable retail drink mixes. The promotion lasted roughly one year and were rolled out through various superstores across Canada.

Island Originals retail cartons were simply placed on shelves in accounts that did not require the cardboard display.

4x6 styled postcards were designed to promote the launch of Island Originals' retail line. Recipes were included for customers to get inspired!

Promotional items like pop-up banners were designed to promote the newly available retail products at Tradeshows and other events.

A fun project to design graphics that would be later printed and mounted to a trailer. This trailer was a great way to advertise and sample the new retail line at various events in the summer.

A billboard design was set up on HWY 11 in Muskoka. We wanted cottage goers to add Island Originals to their weekend's festivities!
Tradeshow
Anual tradeshows were a big part of the Island Originals environment. I was responsible to maintain branding through large-format print designs.

The design objective of this banner was to communicate the vast marketing support offered to the Restaurant and Foodservice industry when choosing Island Originals


The design needed to reflect the versatility of using Island Originals products in culinary. A bold splash of delicious images were used to capture the look and feel

The objective was to create a scene that reflected Island Original's summer vibe in a cool, modern design. This 12x9 foot backdrop design was printed onto a fabric pop-up display.

The former Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion stopped by to sample some delicious Island Originals blends at the Toronto Wine & Cheese show!

This versatile tent graphic was designed for both indoors and outdoor events. Here's Charles Sousa (right) at the Battaglias supermarket Charity Event for Sick Kids in Lorne Park/Mississauga.

Staying organized in the days leading up to a big trade show saves time and money. A simple detailed mockup layout of the booth floor helped the team

Island Originals participated annually in the CRFA (Canadian Restaurant & Foodservice Association). The challenge was to create a design that reflected the strengths of each brand represented under the Mixology umbrella.
Website Graphic Design
Island Originals required an update to their exisitng site. I was responsible to create a web graphic layout that properly communicated the brand. The idea was to keep the design fun and exciting!

Weekly updates to Facebook were done to promote different drink recipes, promotions, events and to highlight the variety of restaurants and franchises that were partnered with Island Originals
